Thomas J. Westgate is a Partner of Restivo Monacelli, an innovative tax, accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Providence, RI and Boca Raton, FL.

Tom is an accomplished financial and strategic business advisor that has more than 40 years of experience. In addition to being a CPA, Tom is a Certified Business Analyst (CVA) and is accredited in Business Valuation and Forensic Financial Analysis.

As a founding member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the New England Quality Review, Tom is a pioneer in the industry and leverages his extensive knowledge to provide critical intelligence and guidance to clients looking to improve their financial statements, cash flow management, bring new products to market or understand the value of their business.  His expertise spans diverse industries, including manufacturing, textiles, construction, wholesale and distribution, retail, auto and professional services.

With his extensive credentials, Tom is often called on to provide advice and litigation support to closely held businesses. He has served as an expert witness in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts State and Federal courts, as a Special Master to the U.S. District Court, and as a mediator in various cases. He is also a frequent presenter on business valuation and related topics.

Tom launched his public accounting career in 1972 with a “Big 4” firm. His entrepreneurism drove him to establish his own New England-based firm in 1979. After enjoying 30 years of success as Managing Partner, he strategically positioned the firm to be acquired and joined Restivo Monacelli in 2011.
