Anthony Vernaglia joined Restivo Monacelli with an impressive background—comprising both private industry and public accounting—and his accounting experience includes significant roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and KPMG.
Another facet to Anthony’s extensive qualifications is his work with a large regional CPA firm in the Boston area where he helped launch and develop the firm’s life sciences practice. Going one step farther, Anthony also served as the firm’s lead in that industry group, operating as the outsourced tax director for early stage (both pre-IPO and public) life science businesses.
Leveraging his expertise both in accounting and in niche practice areas, Anthony has authored several articles for The Tax Adviser, a trade publication serving tax practitioners, and has served on professional panels discussing a variety of tax-related matters. In an effort to share his knowledge with other professionals, Anthony has long been involved with the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants: teaching CPE courses and chairing the Federal and State Tax Committee.
His current focus is to use his in-depth understanding of the industry and his experience as an outsourced tax director to make strategic recommendations to business owners regarding tax and general matters.
